Uncovering Boarding Schools: Stories of Resistance and Resilience
UNCOVERING BOARDING SCHOOLS: STORIES OF RESISTANCE AND RESILIENCE follows the journey of Klamath Tribes member Gabriann Hall as she digs into her family genealogy, only to discover that the government forced generations of her ancestors into boarding schools. Many never returned. Federal boarding school policy affected tens of thousands of Native American children for nearly 200 years, creating generational trauma that devastated entire communities and still impacts people today. Now, by uncovering and sharing the hidden history of Indian boarding schools, she hopes to promote healing for her family and her tribe.
