With direction, collaborates with early childhood educators and other subject matter experts to identify curriculum, best practices and other relevant areas to create, package and/or repurpose content to support educators, child care professionals, parents and children, and community organizations in their efforts to positively impact early childhood education. On a scheduled basis, works with school districts and community organizations to design and deliver learning events built around PBS resources.

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field with two (2) years’ experience working in an educational environment with emphasis in child and family engagement; will consider equivalent education/experience. Work history will demonstrate a knowledge of principles, theories, practices, method and techniques used in early childhood learning; Knowledge of current technologies and trends in early childhood education; Familiarity with the use of technology and media in learning environments; Ability to interact and communicate effectively with children and adults from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds; Familiarity with public and/or private media organizations; Understanding of PBS resources and target audiences; Applicants must have the ability to travel. All applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a DMV background check authorizing them to operate university vehicles.
