Deadline:
Monday, September 16, 2019

TFI, IDFA, and RYOT Films are inviting short documentary filmmakers from around the world to apply for a new IF/Then Shorts global pitch opportunity during IDFA 2019. The pitch calls for projects that explore climate change through the lens of the people and communities directly impacted by this global crisis. We are looking for regional, narrative-led, character-led, cinematic stories that shine a new light on climate change and its many dimensions. Selected filmmaking teams are invited to present their projects at IDFA 2019, where at least one project will be selected by an industry jury to receive USD $25,000 in completion funding, year-round mentorship, and the opportunity to participate in the IF/Then Shorts distribution initiative. TFI will provide a USD $1000 honorable mention prize and mentorship to an additional project at the pitch.
